Economy and Law in Eastern Europe: 128. revision of WiRO by C.H. Beck publishing house

Handbuch Wirtschaft und Recht in Osteuropa (Economy and Law in Eastern Europe, WiRO), is a collective work, the particular revisions of which are regularly published by C.H. Beck publishing house.

Addressed to western investors and others alike, WiRO comes as a guidebook with replaceable pages, which provides information on changes of the economic and legal conditions in the following ten states of Central and Eastern Europe:

The chief editor of the part pertaining to Poland is Dr. Jörn Brockhuis of BSJP law firm. 

In the 128. revision of WiRO (in part pertaining to Poland), a compilation regarding Chapter D.IV by Jarosław Sroka is published, with the compilation pertaining to construction law and zoning law with a comprehensive discussion of issues such as zoning plan, zoning decision, environmental decision, building permit, infrastructure preparation process and occupancy permit. What has also been updated is Chapter D.X Labour Law and Social Insurance edited by Christoph Garschynski and Antonina Kęsek-Garschynska. They explain, among others, issues such as commencement and termination of employment relationship, differentiation between employment contract and other forms of employment, non-competition and the competition clause, commercial supply of temporary workers, employer's and employee's liability, secondment of staff from EU member states to Poland. The amendment of the civil code from the previous revision is also continued.
