On 1 January 2018, a new Act of 20 July 2017 - The New Water Law came into effect. It changes, among others, the structure of bodies and the principles of water management. The new provisions were enacted first and foremost so as to fully implement the Water Framework Directive into the Polish legal system. For this purpose, a newly-formed entity was appointed, i.e. the "Polish Waters" National Water Holding (Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne "Wody Polskie"), which as of 2018 will be the only unit responsible for management of water resources in Poland.
The participants of the Stormwater Poland 2018 conference, held on 15-16 March 2018 in Gdańsk, will discuss how the new law will function and what it means in practice.
BSJP law firm is the substantive partner of the event.
The discussion will focus on presenting specific ways to solve problems connected with stormwater management and introducing benefits resulting from a rational stormwater and meltwater management.

The agenda will also cover issues connected with the role of "Polish Waters" in stormwater and meltwater management and the standards of maintenance and operation of stormwater drainage.
