Conference by INSOL Europe: "Balance of interests: restructuring, insolvency and second chance"

On 31 May and 1 June 2018, INSOL Europe's Eastern European Countries' Committee Conference will take place in Riga. This year's edition of the event is entitled: "Balance of interests: restructuring, insolvency and second chance".

The congress will mainly be focused on new approaches across Europe towards (cross-border) insolvency, how local and European laws have developed and the Commission's plans for harmonisation of the Member States' insolvency laws.

The participants will also consider the possibilities in different European jurisdictions for financing and other crucial tools to save as many companies as possible where there is a viable business.

The conference is attended by Katarzyna Domańska-Mołdawa, partner at BSJP, a specialist in the area of bankruptcy and restructuring law as well as banking and finance. She is co-author of "Material loan collaterals in insolvency in Central and Eastern Europe" [original title: 'Dingliche Kreditsicherheiten in der Insolvenz in Mittel- und Osteuropa"]. Together with Dr. Romana Cierpial-Magnor (FOWI), she wrote the chapter on Poland, entitled "Loan collaterals in insolvency in Poland. Legal standing of the secured creditors".
