As of 1 January 2018, the Act on out-of-court consumer dispute resolution is in force. It turns out that Poles willingly resort to amicable proceedings. According to the data of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, after one year of the Act being effective, more than 14 thousand cases have been submitted with the bodies competent to resolve such disputes.
