Success before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection

We are pleased to share another success story for our team! Recently, we successfully appealed a decision by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE), saving our client, a company in the renewable energy sector, from an adjudicated fine.

The penalty had been imposed for an alleged violation of the EU Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT). Our legal team argued before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection that the violation was of negligible harm. The court upheld our argument and waived the penalty imposed on our client.

Please note that the judgment is not yet final.

On behalf of our law firm, the case was handled by Maciej Kuropatwiński and Dominika Żygowska-Soczek.
