The Kazimierz Moczarski History Prize

We are proud to announce that the BSJP | bnt Law Firm has become a Pro Bono Partner of the ceremonial gala of the Kazimierz Moczarski History Prize and the Kazimierz Moczarski Youth History Clubs Award. This is a great honour and distinction for us. The Kazimierz Moczarski History Prize for the best book on post-1918 Polish history is one of the most prestigious literary awards on the Polish publishing market.

The first edition was held in 2009. The Prize is presented to the winners in a form of a replica of a pencil sharpener with which the patron of the Prize has always been associated. It is matched with a 'Pencil', a distinction awarded by the Kazimierz Moczarski Youth History Clubs, which bring together students from numerous schools from all over Poland.

The competition is organised by the Capital City of Warsaw and co-organised by the History Meeting House (Dom Spotkań z Historią in Warsaw) and the Kazimierz and Zofia Moczarski Foundation. Partners: the National Library, the Museum of Polish History, M.B. Market Ltd. The media patron is Gazeta Wyborcza.

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, 26 November 2023 inside the Reading Room of the National Library. More about the award itself and the activities of the Kazimierz and Zofia Moczarski Foundation can be found HERE.
