We support the recycling industry leader

Since 1 October 2025, Poland has implemented a deposit system in place, which is a significant step towards circular economy. The new regulations impose an obligation to collect a deposit in the amount of PLN 0.5-1 from consumers when selling beverages in selected types of packaging (plastic up to 3 litres, metal up to 1 litre and reusable glass up to 1.5 litres) and require all retail outlets with an area of more than 200 square metres that sell beverages subject to a deposit to collect empty deposit packaging, as well as introducing a requirement to establish at least one collection point in each municipality. Smaller shops may also voluntarily join the system.

Legislative changes are linked to the dynamic development of infrastructure for the collection and recycling of packaging. One of the leading suppliers of reverse vending machines (RVMs) in Poland is TOMRA Collection Polska, a company belonging to the TOMRA Group, a global leader in recycling solutions. Our law firm is very pleased to support the Company in legal processes related to the sale, installation and servicing of the machines.

A team led by Dominika Wągrodzka is responsible for providing legal advice and ongoing services to TOMRA.

If you have any questions regarding the implementation of the obligations resulting from the new deposit system, please contact us at dominika.wagrodzka@bsjp.pl.

We are delighted that the recycling industry leader has trusted us!
