Workshop: Differences and Similarities in Management and Liability between Poland and Sweden

On 15 May 2018, in the seat of the Employers of Pomerania took place a course, organized together with the Polish-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, entitled Differences and Similarities in Management and Liability between Poland and Sweden. The main speaker was Dag Nilsson, legal counsel and Partner at BSJP Brockhuis Jurczak Prusak Sroka Nilsson Sp. k.

The course programme included:

  1. Companies in Sweden and Poland.
  2. Corporate governance in Sweden and Poland.
  3. The most common reasons for misunderstandings.
  4. Liability of members of the management board in Sweden and Poland, and ways of risk reduction

During the meeting, Mr. Nilsson discussed in detail the issues concerning structure of the Polish and Swedish companies and presented the issue of liability of members of the management board. The role of a member of the management board is directly related to taking responsibility for, i. a., declarations of share capital, civil-law liabilities of the company, tax liabilities of the company, failure to file an application for insolvency.

There was considerable interest in the course. The discussed topics showed theoretical and practical activities of companies in Poland and Sweden. Furthermore, participants of the event learned how to manage and control risk in the company. Conducting one's own business activity is closely related to taking and calculating risks. Unfortunately, in business, no risk can be excluded but only reduced.
