Maciej Prusak represents President Lech Wałęsa

On Thursday, 6 December 2018 the Court of First Instance passed a judgment in the precedent-setting proceedings concerning the boundaries of the freedom of speech in Poland, which were brought by Mr Jarosław Kaczyński against former Polish president Mr Lech Wałęsa. The Regional Court in Gdańsk agreed with Wałęsa, represented by attorney-at-law Maciej Prusak (BSJP) and legal counsel Paweł Janc, and rejected the action for two claims: publication of an apology and request for damages. As regards the other claim for issuance of an apology, the Court allowed it. The judgment is not yet final. Attorney Maciej Prusak announced that he will appeal the verdict, in the part allowed by the Court.
